Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has received approval from market regulator SEBI for launch of Gold Mini Options with Gold Mini (100 grams) Futures as underlying asset.<\/p>

Gold mini options with contract expiry months in May 2022 and June 2022 will start from Monday (April 25, 2022). Market participants will be able to trade in these derivative instruments starting Monday.<\/p>

The Initial Margin shall be computed using SPAN (Standard Portfolio Analysis of Risk) software, which is a portfolio based margining system. Initial Margins shall be computed at the level of portfolio of individual clients comprising of the positions in futures and
options contracts on each commodity.<\/p>

The margins shall be recomputed using SPAN at Begin of Day, 9.30 a.m., 11.00 a.m., 1.00 p.m., 3.00 p.m., 5.00 p.m., 7.00 p.m., 8.30 p.m., 10.30 p.m. and End of Day.<\/p>

Premium of buyer shall be blocked upfront on real time basis. The settlement period is T+1 day.<\/p>
