These orders are executed (triggered) once the market price of the stock reaches your desired price (the price you mentioned in the GTT Order).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GTT orders are valid for 1 year and therefore these orders cannot be placed for intraday trades because of the year-long validity.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The trigger is valid only once. If the order is triggered and placed but not executed, the GTT order has to be placed again.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Types of GTT orders<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Single Trigger: A single trigger can be set for the order placed at the exchange when the Last Traded Price (LTP) matches or breaches the trigger price. The single trigger can be used to enter new or exit positions.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One Cancels the Other (OCO) trigger: Both stop loss and target trigger can be set in an OCO trigger. When either of the triggers is hit, the order is placed at the exchange, and the other trigger is canceled.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Significant features of GTT<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GTT can be placed at any time of the day, but the orders will be triggered and placed only during market hours.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Order history for triggered GTT is visible only on the day it is triggered and will not reflect from the next day.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One account can have a maximum of 250 active GTTs simultaneously.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GTTs for shares having corporate actions like a bonus, dividend, stock split, rights, amalgamation, etc., having greater than 5% of market value are canceled on the ex-date\/record date. This ensures that the order is not triggered at a random price and it can be placed post the corporate action if necessary.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GTT is available only for CNC and NRML product types. It cannot be used for other product types.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GTT order is triggered even if a stock opens a gap up or down, having breached the trigger price. For instance, if shares closed at \u20b9120 on Monday and opened a gap up at \u20b9150 on Tuesday, placing a buy GTT with the trigger of \u20b9130 and limit price of \u20b9132, the order is triggered and placed at a limit price of \u20b9132. If it is not executed by the EOD, it is canceled like normal orders.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Buy GTT OCO can only be placed in F&amp;O contracts.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Only NRML order types can be used in GTT OCO for index futures and options.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Things to note<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ol><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When the buy order gets triggered and if sufficient funds are not available in the trading account, the order will get rejected.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sell GTT orders triggered on equity holdings need to be authorized using CDSL TPIN to allow a broker to debit the securities from the client\u2019s demat account and deliver them to the exchange. \u00a0The client does not have to enter the CDSL T-PIN and OTP to sell shares if the &#8220;Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction&#8221; \u00a0(DDPI) \u00a0is already submitted.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-b8d1cb1 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b8d1cb1\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-83c16d8\" data-id=\"83c16d8\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b51cd3 elementor-align-center elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"0b51cd3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"button.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-button-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-sm\" href=\"https:\/\/flattrade.in\/open-trading-account-new?utm_source=Google&#038;utm_medium=cpc&#038;utm_campaign=Demat+Account&#038;utm_content=Sitelink&#038;gad_source=1&#038;gclid=CjwKCAiAibeuBhAAEiwAiXBoJOxqC930iY7l3H-v8_T8NDThnAYrAbLjBuxNLqjT1dLHLoWoH_LtLxoCH_0QAvD_BwE\" target=\"_blank\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">Open Free Demat Account<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"What is a GTT order?
