On the other hand, HDFC Bank, NTPC, and Asian Paints added the most of their market cap.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Among sectors, Nifty IT and Realty are down 3 percent each, the Nifty Auto index shed 2 percent, the Nifty FMCG index fell 1.6 percent, and the Nifty PSU Bank and Metal indices are down 1 percent each. However, the Nifty Energy index added 2.5 percent, and Nifty Pharma and Media rose 1 percent each.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Broader indices outperformed with the BSE Smallcap index rising 0.6 percent, the BSE Largecap index falling 0.27, and while BSE Midcap index ending on a flat note.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Foreign institutional investors (FIIs)extended their selling this week as they sold equities worth Rs 12,756.26 crore, however, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) compensated as they bought equities worth Rs 17,226.06 crore.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This week, the Indian rupee fell to a record low but ended flat against the US dollar at its close at 83.74 on August 2 against its July 26 closing of 83.72.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>STOCKS IN NEWS<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>JK Tyre:<\/strong> The company has reported a net profit of \u20b9211.44 crore in Q1FY25, up 37.3 percent year-on-year from \u20b9153.87 crore reported in the same period last year. \u00a0Revenue has been reported 2.1 percent down year-on-year (YoY) at \u20b93,639 in Q1FY25 crore compared to \u20b93,718 crore in Q1FY24.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>NTPC:<\/strong> India\u2019s largest power generator NTPC Ltd expects to begin construction of a nuclear power plant in Rajasthan by March along with its joint venture partner Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, spending about \u20b950,400 crore. The project is part of NTPC\u2019s ambitious target to set up 10 GW of nuclear power capacity over 10 years, investing \u20b91.5 trillion.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Britannia:<\/strong> Britannia Industries Limited announced a 10.51 percent rise in net profits at \u20b9505.64 crores for the April to June quarter of the financial year 2024-25. The company recorded a 4 percent increase in its sales figures at \u20b94,129.92 in the first quarter of FY 2025.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Titan:<\/strong> Titan Company announced \u00a0Q1FY25 results, \u00a0reporting a marginal drop of around one percent in standalone net profit at \u20b9770 crore, compared to \u20b9770 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations in the first quarter of the current fiscal rose nearly nine percent to \u20b911,263 crore, compared to \u20b910,306 crore in the year-ago period.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Dabur India:<\/strong> The company reported a consolidated revenue of \u20b93,349.11 crore for the June quarter, marking a 7 percent year-on-year increase from \u20b93,130 crore.
