POST-MARKET REPORT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

A fresh wave of across-the-board buying engulfed the Indian stock market on Friday, August 9, causing the benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, to end the day over a percent higher each.<\/span><\/p>

Sensex closed 820 points, or 1.04 percent, higher at 79,705.91, while the Nifty 50 ended with a gain of 251 points, or 1.04 percent, at 24,367.50.<\/span><\/p>

In the Nifty 50 index, only four stocks – HDFC Life (down 1.09 percent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.16 percent), Maruti (down 0.12 percent), and Sun Pharma (down 0.10 percent)- ended in the red, while one stock- Divi’s Labs- ended flat.<\/span><\/p>

On the other hand, shares of Eicher Motors (up 5.68 percent), Mahindra and Mahindra (up 3.05 percent), and Shriram Finance (up 2.88 percent) closed as the top gainers in the index.<\/span><\/p>

STOCKS TODAY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Zydus Lifesciences Limited:<\/strong> The company has received final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Valbenazine Capsules, 40 mg, 60 mg, and 80 mg, the company said in a statement on 9 August, Friday.<\/span><\/p>

NBCC:<\/strong> Shares of NBCC (India) surged over 11 percent in intraday trading on Friday after the company secured a significant order worth \u20b915,000 crore from the Srinagar Development Authority. The project involves the “development of a Satellite Township spread over 406 acres at Rakh-e-Gund Akshah, Bemina, Srinagar (J&K).” The MoU was signed by SDA\u2019s Owais Ahmed and NBCC\u2019s Sanjay Gupta.<\/span><\/p>

Metro Brands:<\/strong> Metro Brands stock surged nearly 7% in intraday trading after partnering with New Era Cap, boosting expansion in athleisure market. The agreement grants exclusive distribution and sales rights for New Era products in India.<\/span><\/p>

Trent:<\/strong> The company\u2019s standalone revenue grew by 56% year-over-year to \u20b94,104 crore. EBITDA increased by 66.8% YoY to \u20b9612.7 crore, while profit after tax soared by 134.47% YoY to \u20b9391.2 crore. Shares of Trent, surged by 13% in today’s afternoon trade, crossing the \u20b96,000 mark for the first time, reaching \u20b96,373 per share.<\/span><\/p>

Apollo Micro Systems:<\/strong> The company reported a net income of \u20b992.03 crore, which stood at \u20b958.06 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. The defence and aerospace stock opened with an upside gap at \u20b9113 apiece on the NSE and touched an intraday high of \u20b9120.40 per share, logging an 8 percent intraday rise against Thursday’s close price of \u20b9110.77 per share.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
