The Indian equity indices experienced a volatile trading session. After an initial fall, the market bounced back sharply, but once again, profit booking occurred at higher levels.<\/p>

At close, the Sensex was down 624.82 points or 0.76 percent at 81,551.63, and the Nifty was down 174.95 points or 0.70 percent at 24,826.20. About 1893 shares advanced, 1898 shares declined, and 137 shares remained unchanged.<\/p>

The biggest Nifty losers were Ultratech Cement, ITC, JSW Steel, Tata Motors, and Axis Bank, while gainers included Jio Financial, IndusInd Bank, Trent, Sun Pharma, and Adani Ports.<\/p>

Among sectors, the Defense index outperformed, rallied over 1 percent, whereas intraday profit booking was seen in selective Auto, Banking, and IT stocks.<\/p>

Brainbees Solution<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The shares of Brainbees Solutions, the parent organisation of FirstCry, dropped around 6 percent on May 27 after the company reported a net loss of Rs 111.5 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25. Additionally, the company announced in another exchange filing that the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) conducted searches at one of its warehouses in Bengaluru on May 26 and seized goods worth Rs 90 lakh.<\/p>

KEC International<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Shares of KEC International skyrocketed 8 percent to Rs 927 apiece on May 27 after the company reported robust March quarterly (Q4FY25) performance.KEC\u2019s consolidated net profit rose 76 percent year-on-year to Rs 268 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 152 crore in the same quarter last year.<\/p>

Over the past month, the stock of this infrastructure company has rallied 21 percent, outperforming the benchmark Nifty 50’s 2 percent gain during the same period.<\/p>

Bayer CorpScience<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Bayer CropScience shares surged nearly 11 percent on May 27 after the company reported a 49 percent on-year jump in net profit at Rs 143 crore for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025. Revenue from operations jumped over 32 percent to Rs 104.64 crore during the quarter under review.<\/p>

Along with the March quarter results, the board recommended a final dividend of Rs 35 per equity share for FY25.<\/p>

Interglobe Aviation<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Shares of Interglobe Aviation, the operator of IndiGo Airlines, slipped over 3 percent after co-founder Rakesh Gangwal offloaded 2.26 crore shares or 5.8 percent of his stake through a block deal that fetched as much as Rs 11,928 crore, CNBC TV-18 reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The deal marks another step in Gangwal\u2019s ongoing effort to gradually exit the airline\u2019s holding company.<\/p>

Olectra Greentech<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Shares of Olectra Greentech Ltd slipped as much as 14 percent to hit an intraday low of Rs 1,160 in morning trade on Tuesday, May 27, after Maharashtra\u2019s Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik called for the cancellation of the company\u2019s electric bus order over missed delivery deadlines.<\/p>
