Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 45.5 points or 0.18 percent. The Nifty futures were trading aroundthe\u00a0 25,276.50 level.<\/p>

Wall Street benchmarks closed modestly higher on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq Composite achieving its latest record finish, despite a chaotic half hour when news reports suggested U.S. President Donald Trump was set to fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.<\/p>

Trump’s denial revived equity markets, with the Nasdaq Composite closing at 20,730.49, a gain of 52.69 points, or 0.26%. It was the fifth session in six that the technology-heavy index has posted a record high.<\/p>

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 231.49 points, or 0.53%, to 44,254.78, and the S&P 500 gained 19.94 points, or 0.32%, to 6,263.70.<\/p>

Asian stocks struggled for direction at the open after US markets had a volatile session amid speculation about the future of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.<\/p>

Japan\u2019s Nikkei and KOSPI Index went down 0.30 and 0.46 percent, respectively, while Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng went up 0.53 percent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Maruti Suzuki India<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The company has announced the standardization of six airbags in the Ertiga and Baleno. This will result in an average ex-showroom price increase of 1.4% for the Ertiga and 0.5% for the Baleno, effective July 16.<\/p>

State Bank of India<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The Board of Directors of the bank has approved the launch of a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) issuance on July 16, with the floor price set at Rs 811.05 per share. This floor price is lower than the closing price of Rs 831.55 per share on Wednesday.<\/p>

Godrej Properties<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The real estate developer has announced its entry into Raipur through the acquisition of 50 acres of land. Development on this land will primarily consist of premium plotted residential units, offering an estimated saleable area of 9.5 lakh square feet.<\/p>

Hindustan Zinc<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The Ministry of Mines has issued a Letter of Intent to Hindustan Zinc, naming it the preferred bidder for the grant of a composite license through the e-auction of the Jhandawali\u2013Satipura Amalgamated Potash and Halite block in Rajasthan. The block covers an extent of 1,841.25 hectares in the Hanumangarh district.<\/p>

Emcure Pharmaceuticals<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Emcure has entered into an exclusive distribution and promotion agreement with Sanofi India for Sanofi\u2019s oral anti-diabetic (OAD) drugs, including Amaryl and Cetapin, in India. The agreement is effective immediately.<\/p>
