Gift Nifty indicates a weak start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 175 points or 0.70 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 24,679 level.<\/p>

US stocks closed well off earlier highs after a choppy session on Wednesday, as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell chilled expectations the central bank might be poised to cut rates at its September meeting.<\/p>

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 171.71 points, or 0.38%, to 44,461.28, the S&P 500 lost 7.96 points, or 0.12%, to 6,362.90, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 31.38 points, or 0.15%, to 21,129.67.<\/p>

Asian markets were trading mixed in the early trade on Thursday as investors assessed the US\u2032 blanket 15% tariffs on imports from South Korea and awaited details on the Bank of Japan\u2019s policy decision.<\/p>

Japan\u2019s Nikkei and the Taiwanese weighted index went up 0.84 and 0.24 percent, respectively. Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng and the KOSPI index went up 1.53 and 0.06 percent, respectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Aurobindo Pharma<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The company’s subsidiary, Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc., has entered into a definitive agreement with Lannett Seller Holdco Inc., under which Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc. will acquire 100% of the membership interest in Lannett Company LLC from Lannett Seller Holdco Inc., at an enterprise value of $250 million (Rs 2,185 crore).<\/p>

The Board has approved the raising of funds through the issuance of up to 50 crore warrants at Rs 316.50 per warrant, aggregating up to Rs 15,825 crore, via preferential issue on a private placement basis to members of the promoter group of the company.<\/p>
