Gift Nifty indicates a negative start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 47.5 points or 0.19 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 24,692.50 level.<\/p>

US stocks ended lower on Tuesday as investors weighed the impact of tariffs after Yum Brands (YUM.N) opened a new tab and other companies cited trade duties in their results or outlooks.<\/p>

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 61.90 points, or 0.14%, to 44,111.74, the S&P 500 lost 30.75 points, or 0.49%, to 6,299.19, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 137.03 points, or 0.65%, to 20,916.55.<\/p>

Asian stocks struggled for direction at the open after weakening US services data fueled uncertainty about the Federal Reserve\u2019s policy path.<\/p>

Biscuit-maker Britannia Industries Ltd shares will be closely tracked on Wednesday, August 6, following its muted earnings show for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. The company reported a 3 percent rise on-year in consolidated net profit at Rs 520.13 crore for the June quarter of FY26. The biscuit maker had reported a net profit of Rs 504.88 crore in the June quarter a year ago.<\/p>

Bharti Airtel<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Telecom operator Bharti Airtel Ltd shares will be closely watched in trade after the telecommunications giant reported its earnings for the three months ended June 30, 2025. The company reported a 43 percent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 5,948 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, marking its fifth straight quarter of profit growth.<\/p>

BEL<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Shares of BEL will be in focus in trade after the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared a series of capital acquisition proposals totaling approximately Rs 67,000 crore. The aim is to strengthen the operational readiness of the Indian Armed Forces, ranging from the Air Force, Navy, and Army.<\/p>
