Wall Street futures gained as reports suggested the longest shutdown of the U.S. Federal Government might end.<\/p>

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 140.08 points, or 30%, to 47,120.19, the S&P 500 gained 8.48 points, or 0.13%, to 6,728.80, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 48.77 points, or -0.21%, to 23,005.22.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Asian equities opened the week on a firm footing, reflecting a clear risk-on sentiment across regional markets following last week\u2019s correction.<\/p>

Singtel may sell a 0.8% stake in Bharti Airtel, with a block size of Rs 10,300 crore and a floor price of Rs 2,030 per share.<\/p>

TVS Motor Company<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The company has entered into share purchase agreements with Accel India VIII (Mauritius) for the sale of 11,997 Series D Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares, and with MIH Investments One BV for the sale of 10 equity shares and 11,988 Series D CCPS in Roppen Transportation Services (Rapido) for Rs 288 crore.<\/p>

Rail Vikas Nigam<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for a contract worth Rs 272 crore from Central Railway. The contract involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 220\/132\/55 KV traction substation, sectioning posts (SPs), and sub-sectioning posts (SSPs) in the 2×25 KV traction system (Scott-connected transformer) of the Daund\u2013Solapur sections of Central Railway.<\/p>
