Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 159 points or 0.61 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 26,189.50 level.<\/p>

MSCI’s global equities gauge advanced on Friday with technology leading Wall Street higher, while the yen weakened after the Bank of Japan raised interest rates to a three-decade high, as widely expected, and left the door open to more tightening.<\/p>

On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 183.04 points, or 0.38%, to 48,134.89, the S&P 500 rose 59.74 points, or 0.88%, to 6,834.50, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 301.26 points, or 1.31%, to 23,307.62.<\/p>

Asian share markets rose on Monday, tracking tech-driven gains on Wall Street, while the yen wallowed at all-time lows against the euro and Swiss franc as higher interest rates at home did nothing to deter speculative sellers.<\/p>

Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted went up 2.07, 0.34, and 1.36 percent, respectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

RITES<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The transport infrastructure consultancy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of Botswana for the development and modernisation of transport infrastructure in Botswana.<\/p>

Granules India<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has completed a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Prior Approval Inspection at Granules Life Sciences’ (GLS) subsidiary in Hyderabad, with five observations related to procedural requirements. None of these observations is associated with data integrity or product safety. The inspection was conducted from December 15 to 19. GLS manufactures PFI and finished dosages.<\/p>

Soma Textile & Industries<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The company has received two construction work orders worth Rs 281.18 crore from its holding company, Roadway Solutions India Infra. The orders involve the the construction of an Access-Controlled Expressway Connector to the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samrudhi Mahamarg from Jalna to Nanded in Maharashtra.<\/p>

Tata Chemicals<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The company\u2019s subsidiary, Tata Chemicals International, has executed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to acquire 100% equity share capital of Singapore-based Novabay for Euro 25 million. Completion of the acquisition is contingent upon fulfilment of various conditions precedent as specified in the SPA.<\/p>

Indian Hotels Company<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

The Board has approved the execution of a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the disinvestment of 1.6 crore equity shares, representing 25.52% of the shareholding in Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts (TajGVK). These shares are proposed to be acquired by Shalini Bhupal, a member of the promoter and promoter group of TajGVK, for Rs 370 per share.<\/p>
