Gift Nifty indicates a negative start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 126.50 points or 0.49 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 25,724.50 level.<\/p>

Wall Street indexes fell sharply on Thursday, with the technology-heavy Nasdaq slumping 2%, as investors intensified their selloff of tech shares and fled transport stocks amid worries about artificial intelligence disruption.<\/p>

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 669.42 points, or 1.34%, to 49,451.98, the S&P 500 gave up 108.71 points, or 1.57%, to 6,832.76, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 469.32 points, or 2.03%, to 22,597.15.<\/p>

Asian equities retreated from a record after concerns over the impact of artificial intelligence on various sectors spurred a selloff in US technology stocks and sent investors to the safety of Treasuries.<\/p>

Japan\u2019s Nikkei, Singapore\u2019s Straits Times, and Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng, indicated a negative start with -0.77, -1.08, and -1.60 percent, respectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Government of India has appointed Deepak Gupta as the Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, effective March 1, 2026. Currently, Deepak Gupta serves as Director (Projects) at GAIL.<\/p>

Netweb Technologies India<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

Promoters \u2014 Navin Lodha, Vivek Lodha, Sanjay Lodha, and Niraj Lodha \u2014 sold 20.79 lakh shares (3.67 percent stake) in Netweb Technologies India for Rs 636.17 crore at an average price of Rs 3,058.6 per share.<\/p>
