Trends on GIFT Nifty indicate a flat to positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 21.50 points or 0.09 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 24,066.50 level.<\/p>

Wall Street ended lower on Monday, with the S&P 500 retreating from record highs, after a South Korean ship was hit by an explosion in the Strait of Hormuz and Tehran demonstrated its grip on \u200cMiddle East oil, dampening optimism about strong first-quarter earnings reports.<\/p>

The S&P 500 declined 0.41% to end the session at 7,200.75 points.<\/p>

The Nasdaq declined 0.19% to 25,067.80 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.13% to 49,007.56.<\/p>
