Amit had been trading for almost a year.<\/p>

He wasn\u2019t a beginner anymore.<\/p>

He could read charts, identify support and resistance, and understood the importance of stop losses. But despite all his learning, there was one thing he still struggled with.<\/p>

He hated losing.<\/p>

On a Monday morning, Amit spotted a stock that looked ready for a breakout. The setup looked perfect. Volumes were rising, momentum was strong, and the broader market sentiment was positive.<\/p>

He entered the trade confidently.<\/p>

An hour later, his stop loss was hit.<\/p>

\u201cFine,\u201d he thought. \u201cBad luck.\u201d<\/p>

Later that afternoon, another opportunity appeared. This setup looked even better. Confident that the first loss was just temporary, he entered again.<\/p>

Another loss.<\/p>

Annoyed but still composed, he took a third trade.<\/p>

Loss again.<\/p>

Three losing trades in one day.<\/p>

His account was down just 3%.<\/p>

The losses themselves weren\u2019t serious. But something far more dangerous had taken over.<\/p>

His emotions.<\/p>

Amit stared at his screen.<\/p>

\u201cI know I\u2019m not wrong,\u201d he muttered.<\/p>

\u201cThe market can\u2019t keep going against me.\u201d<\/p>

Instead of taking a break, he started searching desperately for another opportunity. Not because it was a good setup.<\/p>

Because he wanted revenge.<\/p>

A fast-moving stock caught his attention.<\/p>

Without his usual analysis, he jumped in.<\/p>

And this time, he doubled his position size.<\/p>

\u201cIf this works, I\u2019ll recover everything and end the day in profit.\u201d<\/p>

For a few minutes, the stock moved higher.<\/p>

His confidence returned.<\/p>

\u201cThere you go. I knew I was right.\u201d<\/p>

Then sellers entered the market.<\/p>

The stock reversed sharply.<\/p>

His stop loss approached.<\/p>

He moved it lower.<\/p>

The price fell again.<\/p>

He removed the stop loss completely.<\/p>

He couldn\u2019t bear the thought of another loss.<\/p>

Within minutes, the stock dropped even further.<\/p>

By the closing bell, Amit had lost more money on that single trade than he had lost during the entire previous month.<\/p>

That evening, he sat quietly with his trading journal.<\/p>

He reviewed the charts.<\/p>

And the truth hurt.<\/p>

His first three trades had actually been good setups.<\/p>

The losses were normal.<\/p>

Nothing unusual had happened.<\/p>

The real damage came from the fourth trade.<\/p>

The trade he had taken out of anger.<\/p>

That\u2019s when he realised something important.<\/p>

And it never rewards emotional decisions.<\/p>

From that day, Amit made three promises to himself.<\/p>
