Sentiment was further boosted by the revival of the southwest monsoon, optimism over a potential India-US trade agreement, and renewed buying by foreign institutional investors (FIIs).<\/p><p>For the week, the BSE Sensex rose 663.44 points, or 0.86%, to end at 77,763.91, while the Nifty 50 added 214.85 points, or 0.89%, to close at 24,270.85.<\/p><p>Sectoral performance remained broadly positive during the week, with most indices ending in the green. The Nifty Realty index emerged as the top performer, surging nearly 8%, followed by the Nifty Pharma and Nifty Healthcare indices, which gained around 3% each. The Nifty Capital Market and Nifty Defence indices also advanced nearly 2% apiece. On the flip side, the Nifty PSU Bank index was the biggest laggard, declining 2.6%, while the Nifty Energy index slipped 1%. The Nifty Bank and Nifty Private Bank indices also ended lower, shedding around 0.5% each.<\/p><p>The Nifty Midcap 100 index added 0.6 percent and The Nifty Smallcap 100 surged 2 percent.<\/p><p>During the week, FIIs recorded net cash outflows of \u20b94,003.84 Cr across most sessions before turning net buyers with \u20b91,355.33 Cr on the last trading day, while DIIs remained strong net buyers with total inflows of \u20b912,633.54 Cr (excluding the final day&#8217;s outflow).
