NSE to introduce F&O contracts on Nifty Midcap Select index from Jan 24

NSE will be introducing futures and options (F&O) contracts on Nifty Mid-Cap Select index for investors and traders from January 24, 2022.

The NSE Mid-Cap Select index tracks the performance of a focused portfolio of 25 stocks within the Nifty Mid-Cap 150 index.

The exchange will offer futures and options with trading cycle of 7 weekly expiration contracts (excluding the monthly expiration contract) and three serial monthly expiration contracts. The lot size is 75 units per lot. The expiry day is Tuesday for weekly contracts and last Tuesday of the month for monthly contracts. The symbol of the F&O contract is MIDCPNIFTY.

The settlement procedure and details shall be intimated separately by the respective clearing corporations.
