Gift Nifty indicates a muted start for the Indian stock indices; The US markets ended mixed; The Asian markets traded lower as investors look for China’s industrial profits data

PRE-MARKET REPORT

The domestic equity market indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open on a muted note on Tuesday amid weak global market cues.

Gift Nifty was trading around 25,025 level, a discount of nearly 20 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close, indicating a muted start for the Indian stock market indices.

The US stock market ended mixed on Monday with the Dow Jones posting record close. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.16% to end at 41,240.52 points, while the S&P 500 declined 0.32% to close the session at 5,616.84. The Nasdaq ended 0.85% lower at 17,725.77.

Asian markets traded lower as investors looked out for China’s industrial profits data as of July. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.35%, while the Topix was flat. South Korea’s Kospi declined 0.42%, while the Kosdaq dropped 1.14%. Hong Kong Hang Seng index futures indicated a lower opening.

Bondada Engineering: The company has received a Letter of Award for a project worth Rs 575.74 crore from Lumina Clean Energy, Purelight Energy, and VVKR Photovoltaics Energy, the special purpose vehicles formed by Paradigm IT Technologies and Metalcraft Forming Industries.

HCL Technologies: The global technology company has expanded its strategic AI-driven engineering services and digital process operations (DPO) partnership with Xerox. HCLTech will support the newly formed Xerox Global Business Services organization (GBS) in driving key business metrics.

UCAL: The automotive component manufacturer has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blaer Motors. Both companies will leverage their combined expertise and resources to design and develop electronic components, including motor controllers ranging from 500 watts to 2 kilowatts.

Lemon Tree Hotels: The hotel chain has signed a new property, Lemon Tree Hotel, Civil Lines, Ayodhya. The 80-room hotel property is expected to open in FY28 and will be managed by its subsidiary, Carnation Hotels.

PI Industries: The Board of Directors has appointed Sanjay Agarwal as Group Chief Financial Officer of the company, effective August 26, following the retirement of Manikantan Viswanathan (Chief Financial Officer) from the company.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders: Sanjeev Singhal, Director (Finance), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the company for five months, effective August 1. Sanjeev currently serves as the Director (Finance) of the company.
