Gift Nifty indicates a flat start for the Indian market; US Market ended lower; Asian markets started cautiously

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicates a flat start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 12.50 points or 0.05 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 24,842 level.

Wall Street’s stock indexes ended lower on Thursday in choppy trade as a slump in Tesla shares offset news of progress in tariff talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 108.00 points, or 0.25%, to end at 42,319.74. The S&P 500 lost 31.51 points, or 0.53%, at 5,939.30 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 162.04 points, or 0.83%, to 19,298.45.

Asian equities opened cautiously ahead of US jobs data that may help identify the path ahead for Federal Reserve interest rate cuts.

Japan’s Nikkei went up 0.4 percent while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and the Taiwanese index decreased 0.05 and 0.08 percent, respectively.

Bajaj Finserv

Promoter entities Bajaj Holdings and Jamnalal Sons will likely sell up to a 1.94% stake in Bajaj Finserv via block deals. The total block size may be around Rs 5,828 crore, with a floor price of Rs 1,880 per share.

IREDA

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has opened its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) on June 5 and set the floor price at Rs 173.83 per share. The company may also offer a discount of up to 5% on the floor price.

Ashoka Buildcon

The company has received letters of intent worth Rs 1,387.2 crore from the Motor Vehicles Department, Maharashtra, for various circles (Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Marathwada, Konkan, and Western Maharashtra). The project involves the design, implementation, integration, operation, and maintenance of an intelligent traffic management system on various stretches in these circles for 10 years.

Praj Industries

Enersur S.A., a Paraguay-based renewable energy company, has selected Praj Industries for its next major project. Praj will support the development, assessment, and phased implementation of a biorefinery project in Paraguay.

Lloyds Engineering Works

The Board has approved the allotment of 30.85 crore partly paid-up equity shares for Rs 32 per share to the company’s eligible equity shareholders on a rights basis. Of this amount, Rs 16 per share has been paid on allotment, and the remaining amount will be payable in not more than two calls.

Imagicaaworld Entertainment

The company has executed a facility agreement worth Rs 275 crore with HDFC Bank to avail a loan for financing the purchase of the park business undertaking—Wet’n Joy (Amusement Park and Water Park) at Lonavala and Wet’n Joy (Water Park and Saiteerth Devotional Theme Park) at Shirdi—from Giriraj Enterprises.
