Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 35 points or 0.14 percent. The Nifty futures were trading aroundthe 25,296 level.
US stocks took a breather on Wednesday, pausing a two-day rally as the tenuous Israel-Iran cease-fire continued to hold and investors pored over a second day of congressional testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 106.59 points, or 0.25%, to 42,982.43, the S&P 500 lost 0.02 points, or 0.00%, to 6,092.16, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 61.02 points, or 0.31%, to 19,973.55.
Asian equities rose early Thursday, bolstered by Japanese stocks after a flat session on Wall Street as traders assessed simmering economic and geopolitical risks.
Japan’s Nikkei went up 1.09 percent, the Taiwanese weighted index increased 0.12 percent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng decreased by over 0.5 percent.

PB Fintech
Yashish Dahiya and Alok Bansal will likely sell 5.05 million shares (or a 1.1% equity stake) of PB Fintech via block deals. The deal size could be around $106 million, with a base price of Rs 1,800 per share.
Western Carriers India
The logistics and supply chain solutions provider has secured a contract worth Rs 558 crore from Jindal Stainless. The three-year contract involves the dispatch of slabs, coils, and sheet plates in DSO containers to multiple destinations across India.
Om Infra
The company has received a contract worth Rs 199.84 crore for hydro-mechanical works for India’s largest power generation project, the 2,880 MW Dibang Project, from NHPC in Arunachal Pradesh.
JSW Energy
JSW Energy, through its step-down subsidiary Energizent Power, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for ISTS-connected 300 MW solar-wind hybrid capacity. The PPA, signed for 25 years, specifies a tariff of Rs 3.49/KWh. The project is expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months and will be located in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
Hindustan Unilever
The Magnum Ice Cream Company HoldCo 1 Netherlands BV and The Magnum Ice Cream Company BV have agreed to acquire the entire 61.9% stake of Kwality Wall’s (India) from the Unilever Group.
Lloyds Metals and Energy
The company has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment to expand its iron ore mining capacity to 55 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
