Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the Indian market; US Market closed higher; Asian markets also opened higher

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicate a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 53 points or 0.21 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 25,584 level.

Wall Street has logged a string of record highs in recent weeks, reflecting a backdrop of choppy trading sessions and strong investor appetite for risk amid uncertainties around inflation, deficit and policy. Nasdaq renewed its June 30 record, boosted by Nvidia, Apple and Tesla.

The S&P 500 gained 29.41 points, or 0.47%, to 6,227.42 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 190.24 points, or 0.94%, to 20,393.13. The Dow fell 10.52 points, or 0.02%, to 44,484.42.

Asian shares edged up in the leadup to US jobs data, after stocks hit another record following Donald Trump’s announcement of a trade deal with Vietnam.

The KOSPI index and Taiwanese weighted index went up 0.82 and 0.55 percent respectively, where as Japan’s Nikkei went down a mere 0.07 percent.

Shareholders have approved raising equity share capital of up to Rs 4,000 crore through QIP, FPO, rights issue, or ESPS during FY26.

PNB Housing Finance

The Board has recommended to the shareholders, for approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting, the issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) amounting to Rs 10,000 crore on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches.

Voltas

The company has received a Show Cause Notice from the Central GST Commissionerate, Dehradun, alleging short payment of GST for the financial years 2018–19 to 2020–21 by Universal Comfort Products (which was merged with the company during FY21). The Show Cause Notice seeks an explanation as to why the tax amount of Rs 265.25 crore should not be demanded, along with interest and penalty.

Nestle India

The FMCG company has added a new Maggi Noodles production line at its Sanand factory in Gujarat. This new line was developed with an investment of Rs 105 crore.

Yes Bank

Pankaj Sharma has resigned from the position of Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer of the bank, effective July 2, to pursue opportunities outside the organization.
