PRE MARKET
Benchmark indices Nifty and Sensex are set for a weak start on July 11, extending their losing streak to a third straight session, after fresh tariff threats from US President Donald Trump rattled global sentiment.
GIFT Nifty indicates a negative start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 116.5 points or 0.46 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 25,287.50 level.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 192.34 points, or 0.43%, to 44,650.64, less than 1 percentage point below its record close, reached in early December.
The S&P 500 gained 17.20 points, or 0.27%, to 6,280.46, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 19.33 points, or 0.09%, to 20,630.67.
Asian equities were trading mostly higher in the early trade on Friday, with Hang Seng up nearly 1 percent, and Straits Times up 0.5 percent.
Japan’s Nikkei went down 0.1 percent, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and the KOSPI index went up by 0.96 and 0.24 percent.

Rohit Jawa will step down as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of the company, effective July 31. The Board has appointed Priya Nair as the MD & CEO for a term of five consecutive years, effective August 1.
Aegis Logistics
The company has transferred its liquified petroleum gas (LPG) terminal, with cryogenic static storage capacity of 48,000 MT at Pipavav, to Aegis Vopak Terminals via a slump sale on a going-concern basis for Rs 428.4 crore.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises
Zee Entertainment Enterprises failed to secure the required shareholder votes to raise funds by issuing warrants, blocking plans by the founding Goenka family to increase their stake in the broadcaster. Only 59.5% of participating shareholders supported the resolution, falling short of the 75% majority required for approval, according to a report by Reuters.
