Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 56 points or 0.22 percent. The Nifty futures were trading aroundthe 26,018 level.
Wall Street advanced on Thursday as investors mulled a mixed batch of corporate earnings and shifting geopolitical concerns.
All three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher, with tech strength nudging the Nasdaq into the lead. But the small-cap Russell 2000 (RUT), opens a new tab, was the clear outperformer.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 144.20 points, or 0.31%, to 46,734.61, the S&P 500 gained 39.03 points, or 0.58%, to 6,738.43, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 201.40 points, or 0.89%, to 22,941.80.
Asian stocks rose on Friday as a plan for Donald Trump and Xi Jinping to meet eased nerves around a trade war.
Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng went up 1.33 percent and 0.93 percent, respectively.

Kaynes Technology India
The company’s subsidiary, Kaynes Holding (Kaynes Singapore), has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Frauscher Sensor Technology Group GmbH for the further acquisition of a 7% stake in Sensonic GmbH. Kaynes Singapore already holds a 54% stake in Sensonic GmbH.
Hero Motocorp
Following expansions in Italy and Spain, Hero MotoCorp has signed a partnership with MotoGB to bring its premium motorcycles to the United Kingdom (UK) market. The company will introduce its advanced Euro 5+ range, featuring the highly anticipated Hunk 440.
NTPC Green Energy
The company has announced the commercial operation of 9.9 MW wind capacity in Bhuj, Gujarat. This is part of the total 92.4 MW (wind) project in Bhuj of Ayana Renewable Power Four, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power. Ayana Renewable Power is a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green, the joint venture between ONGC and NTPC.
Indian Hotels Company
The company has infused $25 million as equity in its wholly owned subsidiary in the Netherlands, IHOCO BV. The investment will be utilized by IHOCO BV to further invest in its subsidiaries, for debt repayment, and to meet operational requirements.
ARSS Infrastructure Projects
The company, which is currently in the process of implementing a resolution plan, has received a sub-contract work order worth Rs 164.5 crore from Shivam Condev.
Hexaware Technologies
The IT solutions company has appointed Eravi Gopan as President and Global Head – High Tech, Products, and Platforms. He will lead Hexaware’s global strategy, growth, and client success initiatives across this vertical.
