Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the Indian market; US Market ended mixed; Asian stocks opened higher

Gift Nifty indicates a strong start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 143 points or 0.55 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the  25,963 level.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged to a record high close on Tuesday, lifted by progress toward ending the longest U.S. government shutdown, while Nvidia and other artificial intelligence-related companies fell on renewed concerns about elevated valuations.

The S&P 500 climbed 0.21% to end at 6,846.61 points. The Nasdaq declined 0.25% to 23,468.30 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.18% to 47,927.96 points.

Stocks tiptoed forward at the start of Asian trading on Wednesday as the U.S. Congress looked set to end the federal shutdown and traders looked for direction in the absence of clues from government data services.

Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted index went up 0.24, 0.97, and 0.31 percent, respectively.

Tata Motors (formerly known as TML Commercial Vehicles) is set to debut on the BSE and NSE today, after the scheme of arrangement.

Kotak Mahindra

Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has acquired over half a percent stake in HFCL, the fiber optic cable maker, via open market transactions on November 11.

Annapurna Swadisht

Varanium Capital Advisors bought 2.3 lakh shares (1.05% stake) in Annapurna Swadisht, the snack food manufacturing company, at Rs 273.54 per share for Rs 6.29 crore, and purchased 1.35 lakh shares (0.6% stake) in Jay Bee Laminations, the transformer components maker, at Rs 145.28 per share for Rs 1.96 crore.

Adani Enterprises

Adani Enterprises Ltd’s board has approved a rights issue of not more than Rs 25,000 crore via partly paid-up equity shares of Re 1 each, the company said in an exchange filing on November 11.
