Gift Nifty indicates a negative start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 32 points or 0.12 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 26,194.50 level.
The S&P 500 ended lower on Wednesday, pulled down by declines in JPMorgan, Blackstone, and other financials, while Nvidia and Alphabet lifted the Nasdaq as investors shifted toward AI-related stocks.
The S&P 500 declined 0.34% to end the session at 6,920.93 points. The Nasdaq gained 0.16% to 23,584.28 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.94% to 48,996.08 points.
Asian stocks edged marginally lower as investors largely stayed on the sidelines amid a lack of fresh catalysts ahead of key US economic data.
Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted index slipped -0.98, -1.14, and -0.11 percent, respectively.

The company has announced a strategic collaboration with Cognition to accelerate the AI value journey for global enterprises. The integrated capabilities of AI software engineer Devin and Infosys Topaz Fabric are expected to accelerate software development, boost engineering productivity, and deliver a faster time-to-market. Additionally, the company will announce its October–December 2025 quarter earnings on January 14, 2026.
Gland Pharma
The pharmaceutical company has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) filed for Olopatadine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution USP, 0.7% (OTC). The drug is indicated for the treatment of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
Cipla
Pharmathen International SA is a supply partner manufacturing Lanreotide injection for Cipla USA Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The USFDA conducted an inspection at Pharmathen’s manufacturing facility in Greece from November 10 to 21, 2025, and issued a Form 483 with nine inspectional observations. Currently, the company is evaluating the impact of the above development.
Housing and Urban Development Corporation
The company has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Chhattisgarh. Under the MoU, the company may provide financial assistance of up to Rs 1 lakh crore over the next five years for the execution of various housing and infrastructure projects in the state.
