Gift Nifty indicates a positive opening; US markets ended recovered from previous losses and ended higher; Asian markets also opened on the positive side

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 409 points or 1.67 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 24,424.50 level.

Wall Street stocks clawed their way back from a steep selloff to close higher on Monday, notching a final-hour rebound after ‌U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran could be close to ending.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 239.25 points, or 0.50%, to 47,740.80, the S&P 500 gained 55.97 points, or 0.83%, to 6,795.99 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 308.27 points, or 1.38%, to 22,695.95.

Asian stocks rebounded after Monday’s selloff, and crude oil fell, as President Donald Trump signaled the Iran war may be nearing an end, offering markets a brief reprieve from selling.

Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted index went up 3.21, 1.39, and 3.39 percent.

Hinduja Global Solutions

OneOTT Intertainment, the broadband vertical of Hinduja Global Solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Transformation Commission, Government of Uttar Pradesh, for the rollout of Project GANGA (Government Assisted Network for Growth & Advancement), a large-scale digital inclusion initiative in the state.

Dixon Technologies India

Dixon has received approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, for investment by HKC Overseas (HKO), an affiliate of HKC Corporation, in Dixon Display Technologies. After the proposed transaction, Dixon Display Technologies—currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixon—will become a joint venture company, with shares held by Dixon and HKO in the proportion of 74:26.

Bajaj Finserv

The company’s subsidiary, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, recorded gross direct premiums underwritten of Rs 1,094 crore in February, while another subsidiary, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, reported a total premium of Rs 1,281.28 crore during the same month.

Torrent Power

The company has issued and allotted Series 14 – 2,00,000 non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth Rs 2,000 crore at a coupon rate of 7.97% per annum on a private placement basis.

Akzo Nobel India

The company has received a Draft Assessment Order from the Assessing Officer of the Income Tax Department, proposing additions of Rs 111.63 crore to the company’s income under corporate tax and transfer pricing provisions for AY 2023-24.
