GIFT Nifty indicate a negative start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 226 points or 0.93 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 24,137.00 level.
U.S. President Donald Trump extended the ceasefire with Iran, with a round of solid corporate earnings providing additional support for optimism.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fall 342.58 points, or 0.69%, to 49,141.47, the S&P 500 gained 73.94 points, or 1.05%, to 7,137.95 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 397.60 points, or 1.64%, to 24,657.57.
Asian stocks shed almost 1 percent after President Donald Trump’s extension of the Iran ceasefire helped to buoy investor sentiment.
Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and the the Taiwanese weighted index went down 1.29, 0.98 and 1.07 percent respectively.

Jio Financial Services
Jio Financial has entered into a binding agreement with Allianz Group (Allianz), through its wholly owned subsidiary Allianz Europe BV, to form a 50:50 primary insurance joint venture (JV) covering general and health insurance to serve the rapidly expanding Indian insurance sector. The JV will commence operations upon receiving the necessary statutory and regulatory approvals. Jio Financial and Allianz are also working towards a separate binding agreement for the life insurance business in India.
Bharat Electronics
Bharat Electronics has secured orders worth Rs 569 crore, marking the commencement of order inflows for the financial year 2026–27. Major orders include avionics, EW systems, high-energy lasers, communication equipment, tank subsystems, laser-based fuzes, test equipment, upgrades, spares, and services.
Eveready Industries India
The company announced the inauguration of India’s only operating alkaline battery facility in Jammu. This new manufacturing plant has been set up with an investment of Rs 200 crore.
