Gift Nifty was trading marginally lower in early trade on Tuesday, signaling a mildly negative opening for Indian markets. The index was at 25,017 points in the morning session, down 0.13 percent from its previous close.
US stock futures surged Monday night after President Donald Trump announced a delay in steep tariffs on the European Union.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose by 407 points, or 1 percent. S&P 500 futures gained 1.1 percent, and Nasdaq 100 futures jumped 1.3 percent.
Asian markets opened on a cautious note Tuesday, as investors awaited new developments on global trade that could shape sentiment toward U.S. assets.
Japan’s Nikkei dropped 0.24 percent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell nearly 0.20 percent. The Taiwanese index edged down over 0.60 percent, while Singapore’s Straits Times saw a slight increase of 0.13 percent.

Foreign promoter Rakesh Gangwal is likely to sell up to a 3.4 percent stake in the airline company via block deals, aiming to raise approximately Rs 6,831 crore. According to a report by CNBC-TV18, citing sources, the floor price has been set at Rs 5,175 per share.
PG Electroplast
Promoters are expected to sell up to a 5.62 percent stake in the company through a block deal to raise Rs 1,177 crore. The floor price for the transaction is fixed at Rs 740 per share, CNBC-TV18 reported, quoting sources.
Sagility India
Promoter Sagility B.V. will sell up to a 15.02 percent equity stake in the company via an Offer for Sale (OFS). The OFS will open for non-retail investors on May 27, and for retail investors on May 28. The floor price has been fixed at Rs 38 per share.
Dabur India
The Board has approved the amalgamation of Sesa Care with the company. The scheme is subject to the approval of BSE, the National Stock Exchange of India, the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the jurisdictional National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) bench, and the shareholders.
