Gift Nifty indicates a negative start for the Indian market; US Market ended mixed; Asian market open mixed

Gift Nifty indicates a negative start for the broader Indian index, with a decline of 27 points or 0.11 percent. Nifty futures were trading around the 25,062.5 level.

U.S. stock markets closed higher on Friday, with major indices posting solid gains amid easing trade tensions and positive economic indicators.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 331.94 points, or 0.78%, to close at 42,654.74; the S&P 500 advanced 41.45 points, or 0.70%, to 5,958.38; and the Nasdaq Composite added 98.78 points, or 0.52%, finishing at 19,211.10.

Asian markets exhibited a mixed trend in early trading on Monday. While some indices responded positively to Wall Street’s gains, others remained cautious due to global economic uncertainties.

Japan’s Nikkei went up by 1.43 percent, and Singapore’s index also went up by 0.13 percent, while Hang Seng decreased around 1.87 percent, and the Taiwanese weighted index fell around 1 percent.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories

The United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) completed a GMP inspection at the company’s API Middleburgh facility in New York and issued a Form 483 with two observations. The inspection was conducted from May 12–16.

Bharat Electronics

Since April 7, the company has received additional orders worth Rs 572 crore, including the Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System (IDDIS), Software Defined Radio (SDR), and Data Communication Unit (DCU) for attack guns, AI-based solutions for ships, simulators, communication equipment, jammers, spares, and services.

Bajaj Auto

The company’s subsidiary Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH BV) has entered into loan agreements with JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A., DBS Bank, and Citigroup Global Markets Asia to avail loans of 566 million euros (Rs 5,431.08 crore). It is an unsecured loan with a term of one year.

RPP Infra Projects

The company has received a letter of acceptance for a new project worth Rs 154.43 crore. The project involves the supply of factory-finished fabricated boiler structures at Koderma in Jharkhand.

Max Healthcare Institute

The company’s subsidiary Crosslay Remedies has executed a sale deed for the acquisition of a 4,000 square meter land parcel, along with the building thereon, located adjacent to Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali, for Rs 120 crore. This strategic acquisition paves the way for the addition of approximately 140 beds at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali, over the next 30 months.

Vodafone Idea

The company has acquired a 26% stake in Sangli Wind Energy for Rs 31.2 lakh. Sangli Wind Energy is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) created to own and operate a captive power plant. Post-acquisition, Sangli Wind Energy has become an associate of Vodafone Idea.
