Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the Indian market; US Market ended higher; Asian stocks also opened higher

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 119 points or 0.46 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 26,163.50 level.

Wall Street extended its rally on Tuesday as a spate of economic data appeared to support the case for the U.S. Federal Reserve to implement its third and final rate cut of the year in December, while softness in the tech sector limited the Nasdaq’s gains.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 664.18 points, or +1.43%, to 47,112.45, the S&P 500 gained 60.77 points, or +0.91%, to 6,765.89, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 153.59 points, or +0.67%, to 23,025.59.

Asian stocks rose on Wednesday, chasing gains on Wall Street as weaker-than-expected economic data spurred expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at its policy meeting next month.

Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted went up +2.07, +0.8,4 and +1.55 percent respectively.
