Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the Indian market; US Market ended mixed; Asian market traded lower

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 93.5 points or 0.37 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 25,173.50 level.

Wall Street stocks ended mixed on Thursday. Cisco Systems gained following an upbeat forecast, while UnitedHealth tumbled after a report of a criminal investigation into the insurer.

The S&P 500 climbed 0.41% to end at 5,916.93 points. The Nasdaq declined 0.18% to 19,112.32 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.65% to 42,322.75 points.

Asian equities and US futures inched lower Friday as the week’s rally in global stocks steadied. Treasuries clung to a Thursday rally as traders priced in two Federal Reserve rate cuts this year.

Japan’s Nikkei was down by 0.44 percent, Singapore’s Straits Times was down by 0.22 percent, and Hang Seng was down by 1 percent, whereas the Taiwanese index has seen an increase of 0.4 percent.

Rail Vikas Nigam

The company has received a Letter of Award from Central Railway for a project worth Rs 115.8 crore. The project involves OHE (Overhead Equipment) modification work for the upgradation of the existing 1×25 KV electric traction system to a 2×25 KV feeding system in the Itarsi–Amla Section of the Nagpur Division of Central Railway, in order to meet the 3,000 MT loading target.

Infosys

The digital services and consulting firm, Infosys, has announced an expansion of its strategic collaboration with DNB Bank ASA, Norway’s largest bank, to accelerate the bank’s digital transformation. The collaboration will leverage Infosys’ services, solutions, and platforms to support IT modernization, improve resilience, and deliver an enhanced customer experience.

JSW Infrastructure

Promoter entity Sajjan Jindal Family Trust is likely to sell up to 4.2 crore shares worth Rs 1,200 crore in the company via block deals, reports CNBC-TV18, quoting sources. The floor price may be at Rs 288 per share.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto will make an additional investment of 125 million euros (approximately Rs 1,199.92 crore) in its Netherlands-based subsidiary, Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV.

Alkem Laboratories

Alkem Laboratories reported that its subsidiary, Enzene Biosciences, has detected a cybersecurity incident involving its US subsidiary, in which business email IDs of certain employees were compromised. The breach resulted in a fraudulent transfer of funds. The exact quantum of the affected funds is currently under investigation.
