Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the Indian stock indices amid losses in global markets; The US markets ended lower dragged by heavyweights; The Asian markets traded also lower following the Wall Street

PRE-MARKET REPORT

The Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open on a cautious note on Friday tracking losses in global markets.

Gift Nifty was trading around the 24,462 level, a premium of nearly 50 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close, indicating a positive start for the Indian stock market indices.

US stock market indices ended mostly lower on Thursday dragged by losses in heavyweights amid the release of US inflation data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.08% to 39,753.75, while the S&P 500 dropped 0.88% to end at 5,584.54. The Nasdaq ended 1.95% lower at 18,283.41.

Asian markets traded lower on Friday tracking overnight losses on Wall Street, with Nikkei leading the decline.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 plunged 2.29% and the Topix declined 1.24%. South Korea’s Kospi dropped 0.94%, while the Kosdaq fell 0.19%. Hong Kong Hang Seng index futures indicated a lower opening.

Adani Wilmar: The Adani Group company has entered into a Share Subscription and Share Purchase Agreement for taking a majority stake of 67% in Omkar Chemical Industries in Gujarat.

LT Foods: The company has opened its new facility in Harlow, United Kingdom, and expects annual revenue to the tune of 50 million pounds over the next 2 years, with a target of 100 million pounds within the next 5 years.

Oriental Rail Infrastructure: The company’s subsidiary, Oriental Foundry, has received orders worth Rs 432.16 crore for the manufacture and supply of 1,200 BVCM-C wagons from Indian Railways.

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF): The company has received board approval for the placement of a purchase order worth Rs 514.55 crore on Topsoe A/s for the procurement of a Basic Engineering Design Package (BEDP) and the supply of proprietary equipment and catalyst for the revamp of the Ammonia Plant at RCF Thal for the reduction in specific energy consumption.

Power Finance Corporation (PFC): Sandeep Kumar has assumed the charge of Director (Finance) on the board of Power Finance Corporation, effective July 11, following his appointment by the Central Government.

Results Today: HCL Technologies, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, Atharv Enterprises, Betala Global Securities, Gautam Gems, Golkonda Aluminium Extrusions, Indo Cotspin, Infomedia Press, JIK Industries, Oriental Hotels, Setco Automotive, Teamo Productions HQ, and Vipul will release their quarterly earnings scorecard on July 12.
