PRE MARKET REPORT
Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 168 points or 0.69 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 24,256 level.
Wall Street advanced on Friday, notching weekly gains as investors parsed a spate of earnings and looked for signs of easing tensions in the U.S.-China trade dispute.
Gains in the “magnificent seven” group of artificial intelligence-related mega caps bolstered the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, while the blue-chip Dow was more muted.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 20.10 points, or 0.05%, to 40,113.50, the S&P 500 gained 40.44 points, or 0.74%, to 5,525.21, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 216.90 points, or 1.26%, to 17,382.94.
Asian shares gained in a cautious start to the week as investors await progress in US trade negotiations with the region and signs of further stimulus from China.
Japan’s Nikkei share increased nearly 0.5 percent, the Taiwanese benchmark also increased 0.79 percent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng decreased 0.30 percent.

Biocon
The company’s subsidiary, Biocon Biologics, announced that the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency has issued positive opinions recommending the approval of its denosumab biosimilar candidates for distinct therapeutic indications related to bone health.
Zydus Lifesciences
The company announced that they have received six observations from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), none of which were related to data integrity. This is after a surveillance inspection at the group’s API UNIT IN Dabhasa, Gujarat, from April 21 to 25. Additionally, Zydus will acquire an 85.6% stake in France’s Amplitude Surgical SA.
JSW Steel
The company’s subsidiary, JSW Steel Coated Products (JSWSCPL), submitted a resolution plan in the corporate insolvency resolution process of Colour Roof India on July 1, 2024. The Committee of Creditors has approved the resolution plan submitted by JSWSCPL and has declared JSWSCPL as the successful resolution applicant.
GAIL India
The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) to explore the adoption of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an alternative fuel in the logistics sector.
NRB Bearigs
The company will invest approximately Rs 200 crore over the next two years to expand and upgrade its manufacturing facilities and R&D. The capital expenditure will focus on enhancing and increasing the capacities for cylindrical roller bearings, needle roller bearings, thrust and combination bearings, and taper roller bearings.
