Indian equity indices closed marginally lower note on amid rangebound activity. At close, the Sensex fell 118.96 points or 0.15 percent to 81,785.74, and the Nifty fell 44.80 points or 0.18 percent to 25,069.20.BSE Midcap index up 0.5 percent and smallcap index up 0.7 percent. Sector-wise, Consumer Durables, auto, IT, pharma declined 0.3-0.6%, while capital goods, realty, power, telecom index rose 0.5-2.5%.

Indian rupee closed higher at 88.21 against the dollar on Monday compared to Friday’s close at 88.27.
