POST MARKET
The equity benchmarks pared some of their gains in a highly volatile session on Thursday as profit-booking pulled the indices off their intraday highs.
Sensex closed 158.51 points or 0.19 percent higher at 85,265.32, and the Nifty ended 47.75 points or 0.18 percent higher at 26,033.75. About 1,716 shares advanced, 2,237 shares declined, and 166 shares were unchanged.
On the sectoral front, Software & IT, Insurance and Telecom rose 0.98-0.6 percent, while manufacturing, footwear and capital goods went down.
TCS, SBI Life Insurance, Adani Enterprise, Tech Mahindra and Infosys were among the top gainers, while the top losers included Interglobe Aviation, Eternal, Hindalco, Maruti Suzuki and Kotak Mahindra.
Among the broader market indices, the BSE Midcap index shed 0.2% and smallcap index declined 0.3%.

InterGlobe Aviation
The shares of InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, fell 2.39 percent on December 4. The stock has extended losses for the second consecutive session after the airline saw massive number of flight cancellations across the country due to climate conditions and shortage of crew after the FDLT norms were introduced.
Kayned Technologies
Shares of Kaynes Technologies slipped over 6 percent after Kotak Institutional Equities raised concerns over inconsistencies in the company’s related-party disclosures across its standalone entity and key subsidiaries.Kotak said it had identified multiple mismatches between the disclosures made by Kaynes Technology, Kaynes Electronics Manufacturing, and its subsidiary Iskraemeco for FY2025.
Biocon
The shares of Biocon fell 5.38 percent as the pharma company is set to consider investment into subsidiary Biocon Biologics through purchase of shares from existing shareholders for cash or through issuance of shares of company. The board will also consider the proposal to raise funds via the commercial paper through private placement and equity shares or any other eligible securities.
Petronet LNG
The shares of Petronet LNG jumped more than 4.5 percent after the company announced that it has entered into a 15-year ethane unloading, storage and handling (USH) services binding term sheet with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
Hindustan Aeronautics
Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics went up 1.89 percent as Russian President Vladimir Putin visits India to attend the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
