MCX to levy transaction charges on Commodities Options contract

Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) had launched the country’s first commodities option contract in the second half of 2017. The MCX had earlier waived off the transaction fees on all commodity option contracts till September 30, 2021 to encourage active participation in the market.

Now, they have decided to levy transaction fees on Options contracts with effective from October 1, 2021, according to its rules and bye-laws. The transaction charges would be Rs 50 per lakh on the premium value.

FLATTRADE also will pass on these charges to its customer with effect from the said date.
