SGX Nifty futures were trading 0.76% up at 15,728.50 on Thursday, pointing to a positive opening on Dalal Street.
India VIX rose 4.14% to 13.20 level on Tuesday.
Chinese equities opened higher on Thursday, while US stock indices closed higher on Wednesday, supported by positive quarterly results. The Dow and S&P 500 rose 0.8% each. Nasdaq gained 0.9%.

Bajaj Finance: The non-banking financial company posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 1002.44 crore in April-Jun quarter of FY22, compared with Rs 962.32 crore in the correponding period of last year. Net Interest Income increased 8% to Rs 4489 crore in the first quarter, from Rs 4152 crore in the year-ago period. Gross non-performing assets rose to 2.96% in Q1 of FY22, from 1.40% in Q1 of FY21.
ICICI Prudential: The insurer reported a standalone net loss of Rs 186 crores in Q1 of FY22, compared with a net profit of Rs 288 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s income from premium rose to Rs 6870 crore in the quarter, from Rs 5747 crore in the corresponding period of FY21. Claims and benefits paid more than doubled to Rs 5668 crore in Q1 of FY22, from Rs 2596 crore in Q1 of FY21.
ICICI Securities: The company reported a 37% rise in its revenue at Rs 748 crore in Q1 of FY22 on a year-on-year basis. The net income jumped 61% to Rs 311 crore in the quarter, from corresponding period last year. Its return on equity (annualized) during the period was at 63%, as against 59% in Q1 of FY21.
Jubilant FoodWorks: Domino’s Pizza franchise operator in India posted a higher revenue from operations at Rs 879 crore in the quarter ended June, up 131% from same period last year. The company, which also operates Dunkin’ Donuts outlets, showed a profit after tax at Rs 62.6 crore in Q1 of FY22, compared with a loss of Rs 72.6 crore from the year-ago period. It opened 29 new stores under its various brands.
Gland Pharma: The drugmaker’s revenue from operations climbed 31% to Rs 1153.9 crore in Q1 of FY22, from Rs 884.2 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s EBITDA increased 12% to Rs 498.1 crore in the quarter on year-on-year basis. Profit after tax rose 12% to Rs 350.7 crore for the quarter ended June.
