Pre Market Analysis: Dalal Street may open higher; Future Group, Tata Teleservices, Delta Corp in news today

Market Opening - An Overview

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 0.62% higher at 18,203, signalling that Dalal Street was headed for a positive start on Wednesday.

Asian stocks were trading higher, tracking the U.S. markets after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell outlined plans to fight inflation and assured investors of its support for the country’s economic expansion. Nikkei 225 climbed 1.86%, Topix rose 1.43%, Hang Seng jumped 1.85% and CSI 300 was up 0.35%.

Indian rupee rose 14 paise to 73.91 against the US dollar on Tuesday.

Future Group: The Supreme Court reserved verdict on a batch of pleas filed by Future group firms against a Delhi High Court order declining stay on an arbitration tribunal decision refusing to interfere with the Emergency Award (EA) of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).

Tata Teleservices (TTL): The Indian government will pick up an unspecified equity stake in Tata Teleservices (TTL) and a 9.5 per cent stake in Tata Teleservices Maharashtra after the firms opted for the government’s relief measure of converting the interest on AGR (adjusted gross revenues) dues into equity. Tata Sons and its affiliates hold around 95.17 per cent stake in Tata Teleservices, which in turn holds 75 per cent stake in BSE-listed Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited.

Delta Corp: The company reported a higher consolidated profit at Rs 70.38 crore in Q3FY22 against Rs 1.28 crore in Q3FY21. Its revenue jumped to Rs 247.22 crore YoY from Rs 120.82 crore. The company’s board has approved the appointment of advisors, bankers and other intermediaries by subsidiary Gaussian Networks (GNPL), engaged in the online gaming business, to explore a potential public issue and listing of equity shares of GNPL.

DB Realty: The has sought shareholders’ approval for its proposal to raise Rs 563 crore by issuing warrants to promoters and investors, according to a regulatory filing. The company informed the exchanges that an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) has been called on February 2 to consider this proposal.

Federal Bank: The lender’s subsidiary Fedbank Financial Services Ltd (FedFina) has initiated the process of an initial public offering (IPO), the bank said on Tuesday. The IPO will comprise of fresh issue and offer for sale, it said in an exchange filing.
