Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 0.25% higher at 18,831.5, signalling that Dalal Street was headed for positive start on Wednesday.
Asian shares rose as investor sentiments were boosted after slowing US inflation would give room for the Federal Reserve to pause and skip a rate hike when they meet later this week.
The US CPI report showed prices barely rose in May, with just a 0.1% increase from Aprile 2023. On an annual basis, consumer prices rose 4%, slowing from April’s 4.9%.
Indian rupee appreciated by 6 paise to 82.38 against the US dollar on Tuesday.

Zydus Lifesciences: The company said the USFDA (US drug regulator) inspection at the injectables manufacturing facility at Zydus Biotech Park in Changodar concluded with nil observations. The U.S. drug regulator conducted a current good manufacturing practices inspection at the facility from June 5 to June 13.
Anupam Rasayan India: The speciality chemical company has signed a Letter of Intent worth revenue of $265 million for the next five years with a Japanese speciality chemical company to supply new age patented life science active ingredient. The product will be in the validation phase for the next eighteen months and upon successful validation, the supply will commence from CY2025.
Kotak Mahindra Bank: The private sector lender said the board will meet on June 16 to consider raising funds via the issuance of unsecured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures/bonds, in one or more tranches/series, on a private placement basis, during FY24.
Balkrishna Industries: The company announced that it will suspend operations at the Bhuj plant from the late evening of June 13, 2023, due to the cyclone Biparjoy. It will stop all operations for three to four days.
