Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 58 points or 0.23 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 25,723.5 level.
Wall Street ended sharply higher on Monday, led by big gains in Nvidia, Palantir, and other heavyweight AI-related companies following progress in Washington to end a record government shutdown.
The S&P 500 climbed +1.54% to end the session at 6,832.43 points. The Nasdaq gained +2.27% to 23,527.17 points, its biggest one-day percentage gain since May 27. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose +0.81% to 47,368.63 points.
Asian stocks advanced for a second consecutive day as progress toward ending the record-long US government shutdown lifted sentiment, sparking a cross-asset rally from commodities to cryptocurrencies.
Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted index went up 0.42, 0.15, and 0.88 percent, respectively.
