Gift Nifty indicates a negative start for the Indian market; US Market ended with gains; Asian market open higher following the wall street

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicates a weak start for the broader index in India, with a loss of 217 points or 0.90 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 23,972 level.

US stocks rose on Thursday as investors cheered a new trade agreement hammered out between the United States and Britain, while U.S. President Donald Trump signaled upcoming talks with China would be more substantial than initially thought.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 254.48 points, or 0.62%, to 41,368.45, the S&P 500 gained 32.66 points, or 0.58%, to 5,663.94, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 189.98 points, or 1.07%, to 17,928.14.

Asian stocks inched higher on Friday after US President Donald Trump announced a trade deal with the UK and signaled tariffs on Chinese goods may fall if upcoming talks go well.

Japan’s Nikkei went up by 1.37 percent, Hang Seng increased around 0.15 percent, Taiwanese weighted index has seen a rise of over 0.5 percent, Singapore’s Straits Times has also seen an increase of over 0.4 percent.

Venus Pipes and Tubes

The company has received a letter of intent from one of India’s leading integrated power plant equipment manufacturers for stainless steel seamless boiler tubes used in a series of Supercritical and Subcritical Thermal Power Projects worth Rs 190 crore.

Lupin

The global pharma major has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Raltegravir tablets USP, 600 mg. Raltegravir tablets are bioequivalent to Isentress HD tablets from Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC. Lupin is the exclusive first-to-file for this product and is eligible for 180 days of generic drug exclusivity. Raltegravir tablets are indicated, in combination with other antiretroviral agents, for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infection.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation

The company has awarded contracts for the development of 100 MW wind farm projects—50 MW each in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Letter of Award (LOA) has been issued to Suzlon Energy for the 50 MW wind project in Madhya Pradesh and to Integrum Energy Infrastructure for the 50 MW project in Maharashtra. These projects are expected to be completed and commissioned within two years.

Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services

The Board has approved a rights issue of 15.44 crore shares worth Rs 2,996.16 crore and fixed the issue price at Rs 194 per share. Eligible shareholders are entitled to one rights equity share for every eight shares held.

Brigade Enterprises

Brigade Group has acquired an 11-acre land parcel in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The land will be developed into a premium commercial project with a gross leasable area of approximately 1.5 million square feet and a gross development value of over Rs 2,000 crore.
