PRE MARKET
GIFT Nifty hinted a strong start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 143.50 points or 0.60 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 24,253.00 level.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq notched record high closes on Tuesday, lifted by Intel and other AI-related stocks, as a U.S.-Iran ceasefire held firm and investors focused on strong quarterly earnings.
The S&P 500 climbed 0.81% to end the session at 7,259.22 points.
The Nasdaq gained 1.03% to 25,326.13 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.22% to 49,409.08 points.
Among Asian indices, South Korea’s Kospi index witnessed a sharp rally of 5.41%, surpassing the 7,000 mark for the first time.
Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted index edged up 0.38, 1.05, and 0.26 percent respectively.
