Gift Nifty indicates a positive start opening; US markets ended on a positive note; Asian markets also traded higher

PRE MARKET

Gift Nifty indicates a positive start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 37.5 points or 0.15 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around the 24,457.50 level.

The benchmark S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq ​each rallied to their third record close in a row on Friday, while the blue-chip Dow marked its highest finish since late February, ‌as investors cheered Iran’s decision to open the Strait of Hormuz and were optimistic it could reach a deal with the United States to end their war.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 868.71 points, or 1.79%, to 49,447.43, the S&P 500 gained 84.78 points, or 1.20%, to 7,126.06, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 365.78 points, or 1.52%, to 24,468.48.

Asian markets were trading higher in the early trade, with Hang Seng, Kospi, and Nikkei up 1% each.

Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, and the Taiwanese weighted index went up 1.00, -0.22, and 0.90 percent, respectively.

The company has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, H G Gobindpur Tangi Highway, as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to undertake a road construction project worth Rs 1,582.11 crore in Odisha, awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project involves the construction of a new six-lane, access-controlled Capital Region Ring Road (Package III) from Gobindpur (NH-55) to Tangi near Bandola Toll Plaza (NH-16) in Odisha under the Hybrid Annuity Mode.

EMS

The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for two construction projects from UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi. The estimated order values are approximately Rs 143.79 crore and Rs 64.8 crore.

Lupin

The US FDA has concluded an inspection of Lupin’s manufacturing facility in Somerset, New Jersey, USA, with the issuance of a Form 483 containing three observations. The inspection was conducted from April 13 to April 17.

Amagi Media Labs

The company has announced a strategic collaboration to integrate the Matrox ORIGIN software-defined framework into Amagi’s next-generation cloud production architecture. This partnership aims to enable highly scalable, flexible, and efficient content production workflows for broadcasters and media companies.

Cipla

The US FDA inspected Cipla’s manufacturing facility in Goa from April 6 to April 17. The inspection included a routine current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) inspection and a Pre-Approval Inspection (PAI). The company received two inspectional observations in Form 483.
