POST MARKET
The Indian stock market witnessed a sharp across-segment buying on Monday, 25 May, with the benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, rising more than 1% each.
Among the sectoral indices, Nifty Bank, Financial Services, and Private Bank surged more than 2% each. Nifty PSU Bank vaulted 3%. Nifty Auto, Realty, Oil and Gas, and Consumer Durables rose more than 1% each.
Nifty FMCG (down 0.18%) was the only sectoral index that ended in the red.
Broader markets also ended higher, with the Nifty Midcap index rising 0.9%, while the Nifty Smallcap index gained 1.3%.

GAIL
GAIL shares rose almost 5 percent today despite weak Q4 earnings, as brokerages remain bullish, raising target prices for the stock. Investor sentiment was positive on hopes for improved gas supplies if West Asia tensions ease.
Ashok Leyland
Shares of Ashok Leyland rose 3.8% on May 25 after the Hinduja Group firm announced it received 715-vehicle order from VRL Logistics.
Park Medi
Park Medi shares rose more than 7 percent on Monday after the company announced the acquisition of V3 Healthcare Private Limited, which operates The Medicity Hospital in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, in a deal valued at about Rs 177 crore.
IRFC
Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) shares rose up to 2.5 percent on Monday after the company said it is foraying into urban infrastructure financing through a deal worth over Rs 13,000 crore.
