Launch of Natural Gas Mini Futures Contracts on March 14

Multi Commodity Exchange of India will launch Natural Gas Mini Futures Contracts starting from March 14, 2023 (Tuesday). Two contracts will be launched on March 14 that will expire on April 25, 2023 and May 25, 2023.

Traders are rquested to note that the position limits shall be computed considering open position in all variants of natural gas futures contracts available for trading.

The symbol of Natural Gas Mini Futures Contracts is ‘NATGASMINI’. The trading unit is 250 MMBtu (Metric Million British Thermal Unit) and the maximum order size is 60,000 MMBtu. The initial margin will be minimum 10% or based on SPAN, whichever is higher. The contract would be settled in cash.

The trading session will be from Monday to Friday opening at 9:00 a.m and closing at 11:30 p.m./ 11.55 p.m. (based on US day light saving time period).
