NSE introduces USD-INR weekly currency futures contracts from Oct 11

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) will introduce Weekly Futures contracts on US Dollar Indian Rupee currency pair which will be available for trading under Currency Derivatives segment starting from October 11, 2021. The NSE has got the necessary approval from market regulator SEBI.

The contract size will be $1,000 and there will be eleven serial weekly futures contracts available for trading, excluding expiry week wherein monthly contracts expires on a Friday. The contracts will expire at 12:30 pm on Friday of the expiring week.

You as traders will have more flexibility trading this weekly futures contract and you can use it as a hedging tool to manage your risks arising from short-term market movements.
