Post Market Report: Nifty and SENSEX hits fresh all-time high; Tata Power, Hero, Bajaj, KPI Energy in news

Dalal Street ended higher on Friday as investors’ sentiments were boosted after BJP swept power in Hindi heartland states. The Sensex rose 1.81%, the Nifty 50 index gained 1.85% and Bank Nifty gained 3.03%. 

In broader markets, Nifty Midcap 100 and BSE Smallcap surged 1%.

The Indian rupee lowered to 83.37 against the US dollar on Monday. 

Stock in News Today:

Tata Power: The power transmission company advanced nearly 4 percent to Rs 286 in early trade after the company declared its successful bid to acquire the Bikaner-III Neemrana-II Transmission renewable energy project for approximately Rs 1,544 crore.

Hero MotoCorp: The company also recorded its highest-ever festive sales, clocking more than 14 lakh units in retail sales during the 32-day festive period – between the first day of the Navratras and Bhai Dooj – this year. The shares rose to 3.2 percent after the company announced a 26 percent growth in November over the corresponding month of the previous fiscal.

Bajaj Electricals: The power transmission business operator Bajel Projects has received contract worth Rs 142.28 crore for supply of plant and installation service from PowerGrid Energy Services, the subsidiary Power Grid Corporation of India, in Pulwama and Awantipura districts of J&K.

KPI Green Energy: The company’s wholly owned subsidiary Sun Drops Energia Private Limited bagged fresh orders of 4.40 MW for executing solar power projects in the captive power producer (CPP) segment. With this new order, its cumulative orders of solar power projects till date have crossed 148+ MW under the CPP segment.

Maruti Suzuki: The company’s share price declined nearly 1% following the release of the company’s November sales data, which indicated a marginal increase of 3.3 percent. During the month, the country’s leading automobile manufacturer sold 164,439 units in November 2023 as compared to 159,044 units in the same month last year. 

Som Distilleries: The company’s stock gained 5% after it got Karnataka Excise Department’s nod to supply premium beers in Tamil Nadu. the company’s beer volume increased 40.5 YoY to 40.3 lakh cases. Brands like Hunter and Blackfort recorded volume growth of 24.1 percent and 36.7 percent, respectively, compared to the previous quarter. 

BCL Industries: The firm, along with its subsidiary, Svaksha Distillery, participated in a tender floated by OMCs inviting various molasses and grain-based distilleries to supply ethanol. BCL Industries has been selected for the supply of 8.20 lakh liters of ethanol for a period from November 2023 to April 2024. 

Salasar Techno Engineering: The company has bagged an EPC contract worth Rs 364 crore from Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO). The contract is expected to be completed within 36 months.
