POST MARKET
Indian benchmark indices ended lower in a highly volatile session, with the Nifty 50 closing below the 23,200 mark amid broad-based selling across sectors. However, pharma, private banks and media stocks managed to outperform and ended in the green.
Among sectors, private bank, media, pharma up 0.5-2 percent, while IT index shed 1.4%, PSU Bank, Realty, Energy, Consumer Durables down 0.5% e ach.
Broader indices underperformed with Nifty Midcap and smallcap indices falling 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively.

The stock hit its 5 percent lower circuit during intraday trade and slipped to Rs 160.66 per share on the NSE. It opened with a 5 percent loss and remained at that level for most of the session. HFCL settled at Rs 164.95 per share on the NSE, down 2.46 percent.
PPAP Automotive
PPAP Automotive shares rose as much as 20 percent during intra-day trade on Thursday after the company announced a partnership with France-based Hutchinson.
