What is the penalty if i have margin shortfall in Equity Derivatives, Currency and Commodity Derivatives ?

Exchange computes the peak margin during the trading day, and if there is any shortfall in the required margin (upfront/ overall margin), as required by the exchange during the trading day, the exchange will charge a penalty @1 % on the shortfall amount.

If the shortfall continues for three consecutive days, the penalty will be increased to 5%.
