What is Settlement Holiday?

Settlement Holidays are the days when there is Bank Holiday declared by RBI

What is the impact due to settlement holiday?

On settlement holidays, No clearing activities are carried by Clearing corporations such as NCL and ICCL and there will be no pay-in and pay-out of funds and securities handled by the clearing corporations and depositories i.e. NSDL & CDSL.

So, you will see delay in pay in and payout of your funds and delay in delivery of stocks/securities in your demat account

Can I trade on settlement holiday?

Yes. You can continue to trade on settlement holidays. But, you will see delay in delivery of your stocks/securities to your demat account
