What happens if I provide only cash-equivalent collateral without cash?

It will not be considered valid for meeting margin requirements. For example, if you pledge ₹2,00,000 worth of Liquid Mutual Funds without cash, your margin requirement will not be fully met. 50% cash required to use the collateral margin.
