Why is EDIS authorization required for SWP?

EDIS authorization is required to process withdrawals under a Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP) when DDPI (Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction) is not enabled on your account. 

If DDPI is not enabled, you will need to complete EDIS authorization each time mutual fund units are redeemed for the SWP withdrawal.
